My education evolved around life science and the human body (BSc in Biochemistry, MSc in Biotechnology with specialisation in Genomics and Bioinformatics, PhD in Infection and Immunity). During my scientific career, I was fortunate to work alongside many leading specialists, on a variety of projects, ranging from deciphering human microbiome dynamics, to understanding impact of stress in the development of neurodegenerative diseases.
The more I learned about human well-being as a scientist, the more I realised how misaligned mainstream “knowledge” was – in comparison to the scientific, evidence-based knowledge I was surrounded by. I even got myself into trouble and developed an autoimmune disease and prediabetes, all because of “healthy advice” that came from official public health authorities.
Now, after reversing my conditions by myself, I am on a mission to unbiasedly translate advanced science into practical daily routines that could help millions of women who may find themselves in a similar position to mine. I am raising awareness about what science really shows. This knowledge has allowed me to regain my health, and could hopefully help many others to live long, healthy and happy lives.
Moreover, my years in science have shown me that while we are all very similar as human beings, there are enough differences to strive for personalised approaches when it comes to your food, exercise, and general well-being strategies.
Based on my experience, I strongly believe that the healthiest habit that you can gain is to: educate yourself about the way that your body works and methodically track your own data. This way, you can become your own health coach as nobody will know you better than yourself. I will help you, by teaching you about the scientifically confirmed intricacies of the human body, so that knowledge can become your most useful tool to keep you healthy.
